Piano Regulating
Piano regulation involves adjusting the keyboard and the action to a set of specifications for that individual piano make and model. Overtime, the felt, metal, leather and wood components of the piano wear down, which causes the piano to fall out of regulation. With precise adjustments, we regulate the piano back into peak performance.
Piano Tuning
In order to achieve tuning stability, it’s important to have your piano tuned every 6 months. If more than a year has passed since your piano was previously tuned, it may require a pitch adjustment. A pitch adjustment restores the pitch to A-440 Hertz.
Clean and Detail
Clean and Details include:
Polishing the strings (rust removal)
Soundboard cleaning
Plate cleaning
Key cleaning
Action removal for cleaning
The reason we clean and detail pianos is to help preserve the piano. Rust/debris abatement and prevention helps to maintain the performance and longevity of the piano.
Wool String Covers
We custom make every one of our wool string covers. We use the highest quality 100% wool felt to bring color and protection to your piano. The reason we opt for wool over polyester felt is because wool has a wicking characteristic. Wool felt will wick away moisture from the strings and help to prevent oxidation to the steel strings.
Dampp-Chaser
System Installation
Dampp-Chaser systems are very effective at preserving a fresh tuning and at preventing over-dry and humid conditions. Their job is it maintain the humidity that surrounds the piano at 43 percent. I highly recommend these systems if your goal is to keep and preserve the quality of your piano for several decades.
